If you want to use your computer to work from home their are many businesses out there that allow you to do so.  The problem is which business opportunity is best for you and how can you avoid the scams ?

If you start to look through the working from home jobs available you will indeed be spoilt for choice.  They all tend to be pretty much the same thing ie MLM or Pyramid schemes.  You join a scheme and pay a fee and then you try to get others to join and pay the same fee making you a commission and also the person who recruited you gets a commission too.

These are not scams at all as they are completely legitimate work from home jobs.  The companies offer a product for that fee.  It just so happens that most of the people who join these work from home business opportunities are not interested in the product but only the opportunity to make money.

Of course with such online jobs you only get paid for your results.  If you spend 100 hours marketing and no one signs up you won’t get paid anything.  Whereas the guy who only spends 1 hour marketing and happens to be lucky enough to get a signup will make a commission.

Not too many people like the idea of working for nothing but when it comes to computer work from home businesses you must be willing to risk your time and try out a few business opportunities before you stumble upon one that works for you.

I tried a lot of these online opportunities and found them all to pretty much be the same.  Someone recruited me, I recruited a few others but then those ones that I recruited were unable to replicate the process and they dropped out after 1 or 2 months.  So in the end I dropped out too as it didn’t seem like a very stable business opportunity.

Off all the opporunities I tried only Work for $3 has actually made me money.  Not a lot mind you, but I tried about 10 different online schemes and this was the easiest and most profitable.

The most interesting experiment was with Teamwork Revolution Power System TWRPS.  It was a 2×8 matrix which gave promising potential for spillover.  In the beginning it was exploding like crazy.  However when it started it was free to join.  Reality hit when paytime came and less than 10% of the early registrants actually paid and stuck with the program.  Since then people have been dropping out quicker than they have been signing out so in the end it was yet another let down.

Work for $3 however was a simple one time payment of $3 and it doesn’t have anyone dropping out as you never need to pay again and therefore no need to drop out.

So I will just stick with the simple $3 program and continue to promote it as a hobby and who knows, 6 months or a year from now I could be making $1000s per month from it.

One of the facts about search engines is that they utilize software programs known as bots or spiders that crawl the web and build their database. These spiders are sent to view and index pages which are later processed and retrieved from the database. If ranking on top of the search engine results pages (SERPs) is crucial for you, then it is important you understand the basics of creating a search engine friendly website.

Below it is explained in detail as to how a search engine works.

Crawling
Firstly, search engines crawl the web to gather information and build their database. This is done by an automated software called a search engine crawler or spider or a bot. These spiders crawl through a site and look at the content (mainly text) to know what the site is about and then start collecting, parsing and storing the data so that it can be easily be retrieved from its database.

However, since there are over billion pages on the web, it is practically impossible for a spider to revisit a site on a daily basis only to see if a new page has been added or an existing page has gone through any modification. Many times the spider may not visit your website for a month or more also, therefore, the true impact of SEO efforts cannot be known immediately.

It is also good to know that search engines are mainly text driven and are oblivious to images, sounds, flash movies, javascript, frames, directories, and similar stuff. Therefore having lots of these on your website may not be very helpful from the SEO point of view as these will not be crawled and indexed for further processing.

Search Engine Indexing
Once a page is crawled, the next step involves indexing the content. This process entails finding those words that can best describe the webpage content and then assigning the webpage to specific keywords. The indexed page is then stored in the huge database for retrieval later. At times, the search engine may not be able to correctly identify the meaning of the page and in such a case optimization of the page can help it classify it rightly and achieve a better ranking for you.

Processing
This is done when a user enters a search query – in simple terms, the search engine analyses the information it has indexed in relation to the search request. Since there will be millions of pages containing the same search term, the search engine calculates the relevance of each page in its database to the search query.

The relevancy of a page is calculated based on various algorithms. These algorithms assign different weights for general aspects like Meta Tags, Keyword Density, and Links. However, one basic truth that you need to know is that all major search engines regularly change their algorithms and if you want to continue to appear on the top of the search results, you need to keep your pages up to date. Also, it would be a wise decision to think about SEO to rank on the top and also gain an edge over your competitors.

Retrieving
This is the last step in the process where the search engine retrieves the results, that is, it throws up all the relevant results before the user. The uses can see a vast pool of information related to their search query.

There may be questions regarding how differently each search engine functions. However, one basic thing that you need to know is that there are differences in the manner various search engines function but at the end of the day they all perform three fundamental tasks:

* Searching the Internet based on the search query entered by the user.
* Maintaining an index of all the information that gather from various pages.
* Permit users to search for words available in that index.

Work with what you’ve got. That’s what my mom always told me growing up, anyway. She’d unleash that saying whenever I would whine because I didn’t have a fancy enough bike, couldn’t afford the latest toy or outfit, or, later, when I didn’t have enough to go to my favorite college. It used to frustrate me to no end. But the woman had a point.

Most of us Americans spent the last decade or so spending money we didn’t actually have. If money is supposedly the root of all evil, then lack of money—credit card debt, more specifically—is a close second. It’s not just the debt, but the interest that kills you—once you’ve overspent, it’s all too easy to keep using the credit card to pay off your purchases. How else are you supposed to do it, unless you win the Lotto or suddenly receive a massive inheritance, right?

But there is a way! You just have to—you guessed it—work with what you’ve got. And if you can master that, solving the rest of your money woes will be a breeze (alright, maybe not a breeze, but it will be a heck of a lot easier).

The fastest way to save is to cut back on your (gulp!) favorite vices, e.g. shoes, coffee, techno gadgets, beauty products, etc. If you’ve got an addiction to it, you’ve probably already got a stash that can tide you over. I recently cleaned out my bathroom and realized I had seven different kinds of shampoo, each about three-quarters full (did I think each new bottle was a miracle product that would cure my perpetually frizzy hair? Did I think the bottles were pretty? I don’t know). I vowed then and there to not buy another hair product until I had used every drop of what I already had. The same goes for my lipstick, lotions and other beauty potions.

If you clean out your closet, I’m sure you’ll find plenty of shoes that haven’t seen the light of day for a while—pretend they’re new! Lusting after the latest cell phone or PDA? Hold off for awhile. You know you’ll be itching to replace it six months later, when it’s already outdated. Are the kids begging for new toys already? Explain to them why it’s important to appreciate the stuff they already have—probably some of which they just got for Christmas. Once you start working with what you’ve got, you might even savor the breather from material things. When the economy took a dive last year, it’s like it held up a mirror to our culture for the first time—and it was a little bit scary. But now that we know what we don’t like about ourselves, it’s time for a makeover.

Now, along with the material stuff, you’ll probably have to brainstorm other ways to cut back. This is the hard part. If you’re using cash (good for you!), try putting all of your loose change into a jar. Every month, turn it in and put it towards your debt. Maybe you can turn the heater down a few degrees, carpool to work or go jogging in your neighborhood instead of paying for the gym. You’ll find a lot more ideas in our Financial Toolbox (which you can order here, or get by signing up and attending one of our free workshops). A little bit here and there will add up without feeling too restrictive. But if it doesn’t add up enough, don’t give up. Instead, reach out. Get your worries off your chest by talking to a friend or relative. And get help by working with an expert—what you’ll get when you sign up for our free personalized debt analysis. We’ll show you how to work with what you’ve got to get where you need to go.
